A word from Rob: Oklahoma needs volunteers after ice storm! |

02/05/10 Dear Friends, We have received word form the Oklahoma Conference that they desperately need help after the ice storm last week. Early Response Teams and Volunteers in Mission Teams are needed ASAP. This means anyone with an interest in helping can go. No training is necessary. We need men and women to respond. Our main purpose will be to remove tree limbs and debris from the devastated areas. Cities impacted include Lindsay, Bray, Criner, Elmore City, Paoli and Purcell. All located in Southcentral Oklahoma around the Lawton area. We are working on putting together a team to go up Wednesday night and work Thursday-Saturday (returning Saturday night). Please respond if you are interested in this mission opportunity. It is very likely that we will be staying in a local United Methodist Church. |
